Wine Go Where

Singapore

Singapore has 22 wine bars on Wine Go Where, and most of them sit within a short walk of each other in Telok Ayer, Tanjong Pagar, Duxton and Keong Saik. Napoleon pours about 32 French wines by the glass from Enomatic machines, Big Wine Freaks on Bukit Pasoh rotates around 40 by the glass, temper. at Mondrian Duxton is built around a vinyl sound system, and Fool, Gaston and Ma Cuisine bring a Paris-bistro feel to the shophouse lanes.

Away from the CBD there is Le Clos at New Bahru, Barely Aged on Robertson Quay, The Wine Company at Dempsey, Park90 at Pan Pacific Orchard, Le Bon Funk in Club Street and Holland Village, and Middle Child near Bugis for natural pours from about S$15 a glass. Several double as shops: Hermitage on Shenton Way, Wine Connection at Cuppage Terrace and i12 Katong, and 13% Wine Bistro all sell bottles to take home.

Prices are high by regional standards, so look for by-the-glass flights and early-evening deals, and book ahead on Friday nights in Telok Ayer.
