Big Wine Freaks is the Singapore outpost of a Moscow wine-bar group, set in a moody shophouse on Bukit Pasoh Road with a long counter wrapped around the open kitchen and bottles stacked overhead.
The list runs to more than 500 labels and leans into rare Champagne and Burgundy, including grower houses such as Frédéric Savart and Jacques Selosse, and around 40 labels rotate by the glass in fine stemware. The kitchen cooks ingredient-led, fire-kissed small and large plates, with dishes such as uni toast, padrón peppers and braised lamb shoulder; Chef's Choice menus start at S$98 and an eight-seat 10-course omakase runs on Thursdays.
It stays open late and suits serious wine hunters and lively groups starting a big night out.
Small bars fill up fast on Friday and Saturday nights. Book ahead where you can.
