Barely Aged

Barely Aged is a wine and cheese shop with a dine-in bar on Robertson Quay, near M Social hotel, and a sister brand of wine retailer BoundbyWine. Shelves of bottles line one wall, with a counter bar and lounge seating facing the river promenade.

The by-the-glass programme is the draw: more than 30 wines on a bimonthly menu, with 15 to 20 labels changing weekly across sparkling, white, rosé, orange and red. Bottles are sold to take away, and the bar hosts occasional winemaker tastings.

Food is built around customised cheese and charcuterie boards, burrata and conservas rather than a full kitchen. It suits relaxed riverside glasses, cheese lovers and small gatherings of up to 40 in the events space.
