MAD Wine Bar & Eatery

MAD Wine Bar & Eatery was founded by Danish couple Camilla and Casper with Mary Vu; Casper and Mary are CMS-certified sommeliers. It bills itself as Thao Dien's original wine bar and won Best Wine Bar at the Gourmet Vietnam Awards 2025.

The list now runs to more than 700 wines, from everyday bottles to rarer finds, with over 30 poured by the glass and a weekday happy hour from 2pm to 7pm. The team hosts tastings, winemaker evenings and producer-led events.

Food is seasonal and European, from cheese and charcuterie boards to oysters and small plates designed to sit alongside the wine. The bar opens from breakfast most days and has both an indoor room and a courtyard, so it works for after-work drinks as well as weekend lunches.
