Lửa is a wine bar and restaurant set around a leafy courtyard in Thao Dien. It is run by a Japanese team: sommelier Yu Yamamoto leads the wine service and the head chef is also Japanese. The MICHELIN Guide lists it in its 2026 Vietnam selection and notes an interesting wine list and a terrace.
The list runs to about 100 labels, changes monthly and leans towards sustainable, organic and low-intervention producers, with a good range poured by the glass. House-brewed sake is a permanent fixture. The kitchen works with organic produce from small local farms, cooking European dishes with Japanese touches, and makes its own charcuterie (rillettes, salsiccia, pâtés) and sourdough, some of which is sold for takeaway.
It suits a relaxed evening of glasses and small plates outdoors, or a longer dinner with the sommelier choosing.
Small bars fill up fast on Friday and Saturday nights. Book ahead where you can.
