Wine Story is a luxury wine retailer founded in 2010 by Romy Sia, and its Uptown store in BGC doubles as a place to drink. A second store is at Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong.

The focus is fine French wine (Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne) from top producers, alongside other famous regions. The team runs tastings, guided sessions and classes through its Academy, and there are function rooms and a membership club.

The Uptown branch serves a French-leaning food menu, from pâté maison with baguette to dishes designed to pair with the wines. It suits collectors and special occasions.

Small bars fill up fast on Friday and Saturday nights. Book ahead where you can.
