Toka is a neighbourhood wine shop and wine bar on Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City, owned by Butz Tenchavez. It stocks close to 200 labels from about 31 producers, focusing on classic, natural, organic and small-production wines.

There is a short food menu and a weekend brunch, and the quarterly guest-chef series Will Host brings in outside cooks. The room seats about 25 and can be booked for private events of up to 28 guests.

It is a relaxed, unpretentious spot that suits both a bottle with dinner and buying something to take home. Reservations are by phone or online; walk-ins are welcome.

Small bars fill up fast on Friday and Saturday nights. Book ahead where you can.
