Mellow is a wine bar and dining room on the first floor of Seventeen Mall in Petaling Jaya. The list runs to around 150 wines, mostly natural, across whites, reds and orange wines; bottles from producers such as Maxime Crotet and Patrice Béguet sit in the chiller with prices marked, and staff will let you taste a glass before you commit to a bottle.
Food is a strong part of the offer: fresh oysters, wagyu steak frites, crispy eggplant, a cheese platter and Iberico pork collar feature on the sharing menu, and staff help with pairings.
It suits an evening of drinks and plates in PJ, and reservations can be made through its online form.
Small bars fill up fast on Friday and Saturday nights. Book ahead where you can.
