Lavo and Lavo Gallery

Lavo is a wine-focused restaurant and lounge in Menara Lien Hoe at Tropicana, with a list of more than 1,000 labels, mostly French, at reasonable prices. Lavo Gallery, below, is a lower-lit, more intimate underground cellar used for retail and storage as well as longer evenings. It is recognised by Star Wine List and holds a Wine Spectator award.

The kitchen runs from noon to late with Malaysian comfort food alongside Asian and Western dishes, from char kuey teow and nasi lemak to rib-eye steak and pizza. There is also a large screen for live sports.

Reservations are advised on Friday and Saturday nights; it suits groups who want a big list and a full menu.
