Corks Out looks like a wine shop from the street, with a dim, intimate seating area tucked behind it. The team handpicks more than 250 labels from Old and New World producers, including small wineries and a rare-for-KL selection of Lebanese wines. Every bottle is sold at the retail price whether you take it home or drink it in the bar, and there is a discounted wine of the month.
A tapas-style kitchen runs a frequently changing menu of steaks, pastas and dishes such as sambal fried rice with smoked duck. Coverage also notes a drink-all-you-can promotion on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
It is a good-value option for drinking well in TTDI, and suits people who like to pick a bottle off the shelf.
Small bars fill up fast on Friday and Saturday nights. Book ahead where you can.
