Château DeCanter

Château DeCanter's Uptown outlet is a large first-floor wine bar on a Damansara Utama shoplot, with booths and leather sofas for around 80 plus four private rooms. The wine list is extensive, with plenty of solid picks under RM250 a bottle, backed up by whisky, gin and cocktails.

The menu goes well beyond bar snacks: shaker fries and fried bites, black mussel risotto, pan-fried pork chop, pizza, claypot chicken rice and maggi goreng. A singer and live band play most nights, and card games come out at weekends.

It suits groups and celebrations more than quiet tasting.
