Bar Vera

Bar Vera is a European wine bar and bistro on Jalan Pantai Pererenan, a short ride from the busiest stretch of Canggu. The wine list leans European, and the by-the-glass selection runs to around 16 wines, from Cava and Bollinger to Grüner Veltliner, Etna Carricante, a skin-contact Austrian blend, Jura Poulsard and Priorat, plus sherries and a Sauternes.

The kitchen applies classic French technique to locally sourced produce, with a separate lunch offer under the Cafe Vera name and a cocktail list built around martinis and spritzes.

The room is warm and social, quieter early in the evening and livelier later, and suits a long dinner with wine as much as a glass at the bar.
