Bacari is a wine and tapas bar on Jalan Goutama in Ubud, named after the Venetian winemakers who once sold their wine in the shade of the San Marco bell tower. Every one of its 20 wines by the glass is poured through Coravin, so bottles are never opened, and there are up to 50 options by the bottle or carafe.

The 2026 wine book moves through Prosecco and Champagne, Bordeaux and New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, Burgundy and Chablis, Gavi, Alsace Pinot Noir, Beaujolais, Chianti and more. Shared plates draw on Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and South Asian flavours using Bali-sourced produce, alongside a classic cocktail list.

It opens every evening from 5pm and suits relaxed evenings exploring wine without formality.

Small bars fill up fast on Friday and Saturday nights. Book ahead where you can.
