SILÈNE is a wine bar and restaurant at 33 Aberdeen Street, between Central and Sheung Wan near PMQ, with entrances on Aberdeen Street and Mee Lun Street. Backed by its own importing company and direct producer relationships, it offers several hundred wines with a strong French focus plus bottles from around the world, covering sparkling, white, rosé, orange, red, sweet and fortified styles by the glass and bottle. It was a Star Wine List Best Newcomer finalist in 2025.

The kitchen is led by French chef Benoit Prost, whose seasonal contemporary cooking runs from oysters and fresh fish to French-style meat mains and bar snacks. There is also a wine shop.

It suits both serious wine drinkers and beginners, with sommeliers on hand to guide either.

Small bars fill up fast on Friday and Saturday nights. Book ahead where you can.
